Well HELLO EVERYONE! 🙂 My name is Kristin Stiff and I’m excited you are reading my bio!
I live in Newport News, VA with my husband, Marc and with my beautiful cane corso, Prince! For those of you questioning what I just said, Prince (my cane corso) is an Italian mastiff. He is quite adorable.
I’m a 2007 graduate of the University of Virginia with a major in English. There are two things that most people know about me: The first is my LOVE for writing; Presently, I am a Children’s Book Author. My very FIRST book, Lulu, the Cocker Spaniel was launched August 30, 2012! My book is based on my parent’s dog Lulu, my favorite cocker spaniel in the world! Lulu, the Cocker Spaniel is a series.
Now for the second: I am OBSESSED with working out! I love the way it makes me feel! Growing up as a competitive swimmer, gymnast, and dancer, I learned the value of HARD WORK! As a youth, sweating became an intimate part of my daily routine, so with maturity, I became more in tune with my body: I learned that stretching and strengthening made me tougher, both mentally and physically. These lessons would carry on into adulthood, where at age 27, I rock out daily doing yoga, running, swimming, and lifting weights.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE GYM THAT MAKES ME CRAVE MORE?
Could it be the intoxicating smell? I mean possibly…
What about the people? Well, that’s part of it!
Maybe the totally AWESOME weights? Well, I’d be a dumbbell to say no!
SO…WHAT IS IT ALREADY?
It’s the feeling of stability I get when I work out (And no I’m not talking about lifting weights on a stability ball; although, that has its perks, too!). My gym is like a second home: I’ve grown up talking to the same people, running around the track, jiving to their music, drinking their splendid water, laughing with the workers, tripping, stumbling, and (oh yes) sometimes falling during classes. Nothing can beat it!
WORKING OUT ROCKS!!! 🙂
